IG Punjab Refuses to Work Ahead Of Crucial CM Punjab Election
Ahead of a vital vote in the Punjab Assembly to choose the new chief minister, Inspector General of Police (IG) Punjab Rao Sardar Ali has refused to carry out his duties any longer, according to ARY NEWS. With the support of 188 MPs, the PTI and PML-Q coalition holds a majority in the house, and Parvez Elahi will be chosen as chief minister if everything goes according to plan. The federal government has chosen to replace the IG for Punjab, and AD Khawaja, Faisal Shahkar, and Inam Ghani were among the candidates being considered for the new position.
