Another Great Honor for the UAE

 Dubai: The ITU, the International Telecommunication Union, has revealed where its World Expo will be held.

Details indicate that the World Radio Communication Conference, which takes place every four years for four weeks, will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates the following year.

The sole international agreement governing the use of the radio frequency spectrum as well as geostationary and non-geostationary satellite orbits is the Radio Regulations, which the ITU has the honour of updating.

The World Radio Conference 2023 will bring together representatives of users and providers of radiocommunications, as well as government officials and telecoms regulatory organisations, to address technical regulatory issues and formulate worldwide policy.

Majid Sultan Al Masmar, Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) of the United Arab Emirates, expressed his joy at the conference's announcement and referred to the country as a significant hub and world leader in the digital economy. To establish a seamless, dependable, and cutting-edge global communications infrastructure, the ITU is eager to help with resource allocation, such as providing radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbital positions.
