The Ruling Coalition Announced a Boycott of the Court Proceedings

 

Islamabad: The ruling coalition has ordered a boycott of the court proceedings in response to the decision not to convene a full court in the Deputy Speaker Rowling case. 

The judgement of the judiciary is rejected if the court is not established. 

At a press conference with the coalition leaders held at the Prime Minister's House following the Supreme Court's ruling, PDM leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman made a suggestion and a demand for the country's rule of law and justice. 

On behalf of the ruling coalition, Maulana Fazlur Rehman declared a boycott of the court hearings, stating that if the full court was not constituted, they would not appear before the three-member bench. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the head of the PML-N, stated that it is his duty to distance himself from the matter if a judge or a bench is being criticised. 

The whole Supreme Court, not just one particular bench, is seated. 

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated that our request was for a full court bench to be created on the matter, and that Pakistan as a whole would respect the verdict of the entire court bench.

According to Bilawal Bhutto, the parties involved in the PDM in the Supreme Court rejected our demand for the formation of a full court bench and for the supremacy of the constitution, the law, and the dignity of the judiciary.
