SC Rejects Coalition Govt’s Plea of Formation of Full Bench
ISLAMABAD: According to ARY News, the Supreme Court has denied the government's request to convene a full court bench to hear the matter involving the election of the chief minister of Punjab
The plea was considered by a three-member bench in Room 1 of the SC, which was presided over by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial and included Justices Ijaz Ul Ahsan and Munib Akhtar.
The previous head of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Advocate Latif Afridi, entered the courtroom at the beginning of today's session and appealed with the judge on behalf of the organisations representing attorneys, claiming the system is in danger due to multiple difficulties.
