Eoin Morgan, the World Cup-winning captain of England's white-ball team, is expected to announce his retirement from international cricket on Tuesday, completing a career that saw him play more than 300 times in both the 50-over and Twenty20 formats. Morgan, who captained England in a record 126 ODIs and 72 T20s, guided England to 50-over World Cup victory in 2019. A record is also set by his 118 victories while captain in the two versions.
The 35-year-old has played 248 ODIs and 115 T20Is, scoring a total of 10,159 runs. He made his ODI debut as a 16-year-old with Ireland in 2006 before being called up by England in 2009. Additionally, he has played in 16 tests and amassed 700 runs.
He has, however, been dealing with form and fitness issues since few months.
