KARACHI: In honour of the nation's 75th Independence Day, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a new currency note of 75 Pak Rs on Sunday.
The note will be available to the general public starting on September 30, according to Express News, and is signed by former SBP governor Dr. Raza Baqir.
The Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Fatima Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan images are printed on the note's reverse side in the colours green and white.
The pictures represent the obstacles Pakistan's founding fathers had to overcome in order to achieve independence.
The national animal of Pakistan, the markhor, and Deodar trees are shown on the note's reverse. Sara Khan created this graphic to represent Pakistan's emphasis on environmental preservation.
