Arshad Nadeem Won Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games



 Pakistan won another gold medal at the Commonwealth Games

Birmingham: Arshad Nadeem outshone everyone in the javelin final at the Commonwealth Games to win yet another gold medal for Pakistan.

Arshad Nadeem threw 86.81 meters in the first throw, a career best throw by a Pakistani athlete, in the final of the javelin event at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, after which his second throw was ruled a foul.

In the third throw, he further improved his record and threw 88 meters, while in the fourth throw he threw 85.09 meters.


The Commonwealth Games record for the longest throw was achieved by Pakistani competitor Arshad Nadeem, who produced a record throw of 90.18 metres in the sixth over. Arshad Nadeem was the first Pakistani to throw more than 90 metres.

Eight medals have been won by Pakistani athletes in the Commonwealth Games, including two gold, three silver, and three bronze.
