Punjab by-election: PTI gets its first major victory

After the voting for the by-elections for the 20 seats that mattered most in the Punjab Assembly, the results are still rolling in as the votes are being counted.

PTI is leading in 17 seats so far, PML-N is leading in 2, and an independent candidate is leading in the remaining 40% of the results.

PP 288 The unofficial results from Dera Ghazi Khan's 145 voting places have been received. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Sardar Insaf's Saifuddin took the field.

Sardar Saifuddin received 58,015 votes, while Abdul Qadir Khosa of the PML-N received 32,487.
