PM Shehbaz Sharif Criticises The Judiciary For Its "Double Standards"

 

According to sources, the federal government has instructed Mohsin Butt, the recently appointed Director-General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), to file a complaint against PTI and ARY. A written directive asking how PTI and ARY can be named in cases was sent to the DG.

According to sources for ARY News, the former DG FIA was under pressure from the government to file cases against PTI and ARY, but he refused, which resulted in his departure.

According to sources, the former DG was told to connect the former premier Imran Khan to a Rs 40 billion issue. He would not, however, say that Imran was involved in the case in any way. Additionally under pressure in the Toshakhana case was Tahir Rai.

The federal government fired Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Muhammad Tahir Rai on Wednesday following a high-level restructuring of the bureaucracy.

A reliable source claims that the federal cabinet, which convened in Islamabad under the chairmanship of the prime minister, has decided to replace DG FIA Muhammad Tahir Rai with Mohsin Butt.
