In a few hours, the dollar rose by Rs 5 to 221
KARACHI: The value of the US dollar grew by Rs. 4 yesterday and by Rs. 6 today, reaching Rs. 221 per dollar.
The dollar attained its highest level in the interbank market on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, the second day of the business week.
The dollar increased by 30 paise to Rs 215 at the start of the day in the interbank market.
Following that, the value of the dollar began to rise steadily; by midday, it had risen by 5 rupees 80 paisa, having previously increased by 1 rupee 5 paisa, 1 rupee 80 paisa, and then 2 rupees 30 paisa.
In the open market, dollars are selling for between Rs 221 and 222, while the dollar is now trading at Rs 221 in the interbank market.
Yesterday, the dollar's price rose by 4 rupees 25 paisa, bringing its worth to 215 rupees 20 paisa.
The dollar closed at 210 rupees 95 pais on Friday, July 15, 2022, the final day of the previous business week.
