PTI Chairman #ImranKhan has been re-elected
After two panels voted in his favour, former Prime Minister Imran Khan was re-elected unchallenged as the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Imran Khan was elected during a meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-National Insaf's Conference in Islamabad.
Imran Khan was elected unopposed after two panels led by PTI leaders Umar Sarfaraz Cheema and Naik Muhammad withdrew from the elections.
Apart from that, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Umar were re-elected as the party's vice-chairman and secretary-general, respectively.
Later, when speaking at the ceremony, Imran Khan stated that after the Supreme Court's verdict, he will announce the date for the long march.
Imran Khan told party workers that if they gain authorization from the Supreme Court, they should be prepared for the biggest demonstration in Pakistan's history.
Criticising PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the former prime minister said, Bilawal did a long march towards Islamabad when Rs4 per litre was increased by his government. Where is he now when the fuel prices have been jacked up by Rs60 per litre?
